Teaching and Protecting All Nations: Officials from Abroad

The Venerable Master was always concerned of the welfare of all nations. For that he is well respected by leaders all over the world. Whenever the Master speaks to them, he would always exhort them to work for the benefit of the society and nation. Over the years, many Chinese and Taiwanese leaders have paid their respects to the Master. Among them are Minister of Justice Lin Yang Gang; ex-Premier of Vietnam, Mr. Shan-chyan Chen; Liang Surong, President of the Republic of China and the former Director of the Legislative Yuan; and others.

On July 4, 1992, Lin Yanggang, the Director of the Judicial Yuan of the Republic of China, and his wife visited the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas and discussed issues of Chinese and American education with the chancellors of Dharma Realm Buddhist University. Mr. Lin also visited the Venerable Master at the International Translation Institute, where they discussed the future of China, the American situation, and the policies of government.
